I’m Ryru, and I’d love to share a bit about myself with you.

Born in Lima, Peru, and raised in a Japanese-Peruvian family, my artistic journey began at the age of 4 when I started painting, a passion that has stayed with me ever since.

My journey has taken me from Peru to Argentina to the United States, where I currently reside.

Creating art is like taking a journey into myself, exploring who I am. My background, experiences, and what I’ve learned all play part in it. I’m fascinated by themes that mirror my life, and this journey has led me to search for a style that truly reflects me – it’s a work in progress!

I used to struggle to find my own style, but I’ve come to realize that It’s more about embracing the mix of everything life is giving me. 

I enjoy experimenting with various techniques, focusing a lot on observation, lines, and details. But at the same time, I feel deep need for expression, liberation, and instinct to shine through in my art. It’s a delicate balance, but one that keeps my creative journey exciting and fulfilling!
